ACS550 Standard ABB Drives

The ACS550 is an adjustable frequency AC drive that achieves the ultimate in flexible motor control performance. Offering three modes of motor control: V/Hz, Sensorless Vector and Flux Vector, the ACS550 performs accurate speed and torque control of any standard squirrel cage motor.

With drives ranging from 0.75 to 550HP, the ACS550 series features an 'intuitively obvious' multilingual, full graphic display panel that also provides assistants to aid users in start-up, maintenance, and diagnostics. The control panel can be mounted on the cover of the drive, or remotely, and can upload, store, and download parameters. The ACS550 comes equipped with an extensive library of preprogrammed application macros that, at the touch of a button, allow rapid configuration of inputs, outputs, and parameters for specific applications to maximize convenience and minimize start-up time.

ACS800 High-Performance ABB Drives

ABB ACS310 General Purpose Drive

The ABB ACS310 is ABB's answer to the variable torque market, specifically build for Fans and Pumps. ABB has designed this drive with built in PID Controllers and PFC (pump and fan control) which have the ability to vary the drives operation based on changes in flow, pressure, or some other form of external data.

The ABB ACS310 is built with a very intuitive user interface, pre-programmed macros, and many assistant screens. These built in features help to speed up the installation, programming, and start-up of the drive. The ACS310 also comes with embedded RS-485 fieldbus allowing connectivity to most automation systems.

The ABB ACS310 is available in both single phase and three phase input ratings and up to 30hp at 480 volts.

ABB ACS850 "High Overload" Variable Speed Drives

The ABB ACS850 is ABB's answer to those applications requiring a high overload capability. Like the ABB ACS800 the ACS850 also utilizes "Direct Torque Control" as its means of control. The ABB ACS850 covers a very broad spectrum of applications including extruders, pumps, conveyors, and material handling. They also cover an equally broad range of voltage and power requirements. ABB has included different built in options covering everything from I/O to different methods of communication. ABB has engineered the ACS850 to be rugged and to maximize the lifetime of all components in the drive.

ABB DCS800 Variable Speed DC Drive

The ABB DCS800 DC industrial drive is ABB's answer for variable speed in for DC applications. ABB combines a thyristor power platform which is the newest control technology available. The ABB DCS800 also has one of the most complete ranges of hp ratings to cover a wide range of applications. As with many of ABB's other drives installation and set-up is made easy via their user friendly hardware and software. Another feature of the ABB DCS800 is its Adaptive Programming capabilities. Simply put this allows the user the customize the drive to their requirements without adding more hardware to the base drive.
